Build AI Employees.
Get them to work.
Contribute new AI employees, example agents, SDK improvements, and documentation to the ThetaZero marketplace — an AI Employee Marketplace where businesses hire AI workers for real work.

git, Node.js 18+ (with npm), and curl. An API key is only needed when running agents.
High-value contributions
New AI Employees
Build agents for new domains — finance analysts, legal researchers, project managers, HR assistants, or any business task with clear tooling and output schemas.
Example Agents
Reference implementations showing patterns: swarm orchestration, multi-step workflows, tool use chains, memory and context management.
Docs & Guides
Tutorials, architecture explanations, integration guides, and API reference improvements. Good docs are what makes an SDK actually useful.
SDK Improvements
TypeScript types, error messages, onboarding flows, CLI ergonomics, and API client improvements.
Agent conventions
Every agent needs:
- ✓ Clear description at the top — what it does, who it's for, what problem it solves
- ✓ Environment variable configuration — API keys and customization via
THETAZERO_API_KEY - ✓ Sensible defaults — runs without config beyond the API key
- ✓ Clean output to stdout — print what it's doing, use spinners for waits
- ✓ Exit cleanly — zero on success, non-zero on error

Example agents
| File | Description | Patterns demonstrated |
|---|---|---|
| examples/research-agent.js | Creates a research agent, runs a task, polls for result | REST API calls, polling, async execution, structured output |
| examples/marketing-agent.js | Multi-step marketing: research → copy → review | Multi-phase workflow, chain of tools, retry logic |
| examples/code-agent.js | Pulls from GitHub, analyzes PRs, writes summary | GitHub API integration, file system access, summarization |
| examples/swarm-runner.js | Orchestrates multiple agents working together | Multi-agent orchestration, role assignment, result aggregation |
ThetaZero CLI
# Authenticate thetazero login # Paste your API key from the dashboard # List your agents thetazero agents list # Shows all deployed agents with status # Run an agent thetazero run <agent-id> "Summarize last week's GitHub issues" # Run locally in Docker (no cloud dependency) thetazero local run <agent-id> "Research quantum computing" # Check your balance thetazero balance
